Upon our return from a long walk down Langosta Beach, my son and I crossed the mouth of the Langosta Estuary, as I showed yesterday. At low tide, we could wade across about waist high, but on the return trip at a very high tide the water was up to our necks at the center of the channel and we had to swim across that part of it (with me holding my good camera up out of the water).My wife, however, did not want to wade and swim across as we did. Here you see the photo I took with her on the other side of the estuary.
How do you think Julie made it across? Do you think that she waited for low tide to return? Did she swim across the mouth of the estuary? Did she swim out into the ocean and then swim back to the beach on the other side of the estuary mouth? Did she have me drive around and pick her up, which would take about a half hour? Did she have me come back and carry her piggy back across the estuary? What would you have done?
As regular readers of this blog know, I sometimes like to tease you by leaving you hanging. I will show the answer tomorrow.

It's a compelling image, Dave, and I shudder at the thought of Julie in peril and yet she has demonstrated remarkable courage and independence in her own blog so I'm guessing she wasn't waiting to be rescued. I imagine Julie found a very creative way of coping with the high tide.
I can't believe you are sharing my adventure all because I did not want to get soaked with all of my gear during high tide, and the waves were rolling in big and the current became very strong.

Sorry to contradict your excuses, but the waves were not big. I submit as Exhibit A today's photo. Do you see any big waves in the mouth of the estuary? The photos during the next few days will provide further evidence that the waves were not large.
The current was not that strong. I walked/swam across just fine. But you found an easier way.

You are revealing yourself to be an optimist in anticipating that tomorrow will be the "exciting conclusion." I am capable of dragging this out beyond tomorrow.

You and Julie are too funny arguing about the waves or lack thereof!!! If she had all her gear with her, I don't blame her for wanting to get all wet. I'm guessing since she IS a damsel in distress that a hero came to her aid and saved her.
Well Julie looks pretty forlorn there. I'm sure this has a happy ending.
