I had stopped to take a photo of the cattle chute, walked up to take a closer look, and was startled when this iguana scurried by my feet to go into a hole under the tire.
In Costa Rica, it should not surprise me to see an iguana anywhere.
This cattle chute also provided habitat for other animals, as I will show tomorrow.
Today is Sunday, so we have new photos on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site. This week we are showing photos from a recent visit of mine to the Hotel Del Coronado in Coronado, California. Come take a look at the Victorian charm and ideal beach weather.

A clever recycler is this iguana.
Love your blogs! Beautiful country and inspiring photos. It's on our list for a winter retreat. Quite a few of our friends in Prince Edward Island have made Costa Rica home. Cheer! Susan and Neil :)
Not many of them around here, and that's a shame.
He's a chubby little fellow!
Neil and Susan,
Thank you for your comments. You are right about Canadians and Costa Rica. About one-third of the people who rent our condos are Canadians. That number is higher in the winter. Some Canadians have rented my condos for a month at a time.
That would be startling to have an iguana come running past suddenly. You got a good shot of him though.
they find many places to live. so much greenery around
This one seems to be pretty fat! :-)
By the way, I think you might enjoy Joanne's Ngorongoro photo she has just posted at her 'Inspiration' blog: http://joannegatefield.blogspot.com/
