Family on Langosta Beach

Following up on yesterday's photo, here is another typical photo of people enjoying Langosta beach, including a mother and small children in the foreground and a runner in the background.

There are lots of tidepools for children to explore in the rocks exposed at low tide in this section of the beach.

In this age of video games and gadgetry, there is something timeless about small children enjoying the simple pleasures of the beach.

We have photos of Cape Breton Island on the northern tip of Nova Scotia posted this week on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.  It is a pristine, beautiful place.

Being out in nature is a natural act for small children. The two two-headed girls and their mother look very relaxed...seems like a more sensible thing to do than run!!

That is so true about watching the kids on the beach. I remember when I was visiting there, three young boys were totally engrossed in the beach, the tide pools and the crashing waves.

I agree. Kids need to get out more and enjoy time in nature, less screen-time.

Nice pic.

Welcome back Dave, hope you had a great trip. I agree with you totally, there is something so natural and healthy seeing young people out and having fun in the fresh air. Actually that's what's so great about the lifesaving clubs here, they start at a very young age as 'nippers' and go all the way up to the lifesavers I posted about today.
