Thank you for your inquiry about condos in ...Leif,

Thank you for your inquiry about condos in Costa Rica. Yes, Tamarindo is full of foreigners who have bought condos, and the surrounding Pacific Coast area has many condos and second home developments that are marketed and bought by foreigners. The market has cooled because of the recession, as buyers are more likely to lack the equity in their own homes or value of their other investments to have the funds to purchase a condo.

You asked about prices. In Tamarindo condos can cost less than $100,000 USD or more than $500,000 USD. It all depends on location (particularly how close to the beach and the view of the ocean) and the amenities of the unit and condo project.

You might be interested to check out the Housing and Condos index tab on the left margin of my Daily Photo site. It will include photos and information about the condo market. Links to more photos and information about the two condos that we own in Tamarindo is available by clicking on the two links on the top left of my blog.Dave-CostaRicaDailyPhoto.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02567583999945259422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4486504529519277316.post-30389133108556324132009-06-11T04:38:51.815-07:002009-06-11T04:38:51.815-07:00No one will call you a sissy.
