Ocean's fury

This is a surge of the ocean at high tide.  I love to walk along the beach because it is always in motion and changing.  At low tide the beach is wide.  At high tide, there can be a few spots where you watch for waves and either walk between waves or walk on a little path on the higher part of the beach.  I have rarely seen waves like this crashing up on the beach.

Crashing waves are a common sight my way. We get calm seas and stormy waves with the whisper of a weather change. Lovely sight.

Waves create some great places. And so does the rain. Nature is marvelous.

The fury of that wave is a little frightening to me. But the way you've captured it, the foam, the sand laden rise of that wave, it's truly awesome.

Looks like the waves on the beach in Oregon! So different from the peaceful scenes in most of your pictures.

Stunning. You can really feel the power in this wave. Great capture. I loved yesterday's surfer too - what a shot!
