Tamarindo Estuary

The Tamarindo estuary snakes from the mouth where it flows into the Pacific back into the low lands north of Tamarindo.  This photo was taken looking up the estuary near the spot shown in the aerial photo that I showed the day before yesterday.

The Tamarindo estuary is wide near the ocean where this photo was taken and becomes very narrow in its upper reaches.  It is lined with mangrove trees for most of its length.  It provides good habitat for wildlife.

I will show more photos of the Tamarindo estuary in the future.  I am showing this photo today to accompany the series of aerial photos that I am showing from the gyrocoptor flight.
