This surfer is just getting ready to twist back towards shore after cutting back towards the crest of the wave.
Surfing looks like fun, but I am not a surfer and I don't think I am in good enough shape to start now, at age 58. My wife tells me that I need to do yoga to increase my flexibility, and I am sure she is right. There are yoga places in Tamarindo, but somehow I doubt that people go to them to get in shape for surfing.
great surfer shot. i love to watch all the surfers at Langosta beach and Tamarindo beach. Surfing is awesome in this area.
ReplyDeleteThis is a keeper. He appears to be an unsuffering surfer but I fear I would suffer to the end of my days if I tried getting on a board now.
ReplyDeleteGreat motion shot!
ReplyDeletePS. Thank you for the information regarding the portuguese museum in Colonia del Sacramento.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, you are right, Farol Design Hotel is facing south, like almost everything else on this small coast, from Lisbon to Cascais.
It's beautiful to watch but I wouldn't attempt it either, if for no reason other that I'm 59 and just generally clumsy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your note about the Tibet pictures. If you ever get seriously interested in going, drop me a note. It's not all that easy. The Chinese government makes foreigners travel with a group. The area is periodically closed to foreigners - it is right now - if the Chinese are up tight about something. Our Tibetan guide was superb and he can make the arrangements. I can put you in touch.
I never tire of watching the surfers, but like you I'd rather watch than participate. The waves here look really great.
ReplyDeleteNice photograph of the surfer. I am beyond those kinds of things and need oxygen sometimes so any exertion is out of the question. At 75 some things are best not tried.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are living in a kind of self-made paradise there where you are.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
