Home furnishing store

Yesterday I showed home furnishing store that has closed. Here is one that is still open. This is located about 40 minutes from Tamarindo, on the main road to Liberia, the capital of the Guanacaste province.

As you can see, even though Costa Rica is a developing country, "big box" retailing has come to Costa Rica. This is the furniture section of the Papagayo Do It Center. The same store sells electronic appliances, hardware, housewares, and more. The store is about twice the size of what you can see in this photo.

Tomorrow I will show you something about this store that reflects a tropical touch.

    If your question was whether I do business at this store, I have bought some things there, mostly hardware, housewares and some electronics. In fact, in the front corner of photo a couple of employees are looking up something on the computer for a little table I was buying for our patio.

    For furnishing our two condos, we used two interior decorators who live in Tamarindo, both European (one Belgian and one French), who went to San Jose to pick out the furniture.

    If your question was broader in scope about doing business, no, I do not do business in Costa Rica, other than to use my computer and internet USA telephone from our condo to work at times.
