Store Shark

Believe it or not, this mural greets customers when they walk into the little cafeteria that is part of the Papagayo Do It Center, the large store that I showed yesterday.

I confess that I am not sure about this painting. I love art, so it is a good thing to have a mural in a store cafeteria. A mural of an ocean scene is appropriate for Costa Rica, as the Pacific Ocean is nearby.

But what is with the expression on this fish? He is smiling, so perhaps he is supposed to be friendly, but look at all those teeth. Maybe he is smiling because he is about to devour any small children who walk nearby.

And, those eyes! He looks like he is a little cross-eyed, and his eyes are rather menacing.

On our travel photos site, Viva la Voyage, this week we are showing photos of the animals of Monterrey, California.

Very amusing post today. If a mural makes an area more interesting, I'm all for it. I enjoyed your comments on my post today. Thanks for your visit!

He certainly does not look trustworthy.

Yikes! That isn't a friendly smile. Kind of a fun mural though.

He's saying, "Have a tuna sandwich. I dare you."

Reminds me of a Pixar movie, I think it was called Shark Tale. He could come straight out of it.

I don't know about this. It seems like intimidation - shop here if you dare. Wouldn't you feel more comfortable if, say, Ronald McDonald waved at you on the way in?

We may be interested in one of your condos, but for my daughter and son in law, not me and my wife. My son in law has testicular cancer and just started 9 weeks of chemotherapy. It's going to be a little rough but the docs say there's a 98% chance of complete remission. They would like to get away somewhere warm when it's done, maybe in March. Is the weather still ok then? And how do you get from San Jose to Tamarindo? There's a link to email me on my profile - let me know what you think when you get a chance.
