crocodile on the river bank

This is a more traditional view of a crocodile. Compared to this crocodile, yesterday's crocodile looks like a dolphin at Sea World doing tricks.

Crocodiles can move surprisingly fast. Once I was photographing a crocodile on the river bank, from the safety of a boat, of course, and he darted into the water so fast that he splattered me with mud before I could pull back into the boat.

Today is Sunday, so we have new photos posted on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site. Our photos this week show the Dalmatian Coast of Croatia. If you have not been there, please check out the our website this week. You are in for a treat.

Er... don't know why, I've never particularly liked these guys... Excellent shots though, especially yesterday's! Have a great Sunday!

I don't suppose he shed any tears of remorse over spattering you with mud. Did he splatter your lens, too?

Brattcat,
The splattered mud missed by camera, and the mud came out of my shirt just fine after I threw it in the wash back at the condo.

In hindsight, I was glad that the crocodile on the river bank did not have a cousin in the water where I was leaning outside of the boat to get a better photo.

He looks as if he is giving you the evil eye.

I sure wouldn't want to mud wrestle with that fella! Yikes!

He has a bit of a smile in this picture, but not the warm kind. He looks big!
