Tamarindo beach at low tide

Two days ago I showed the main part of Tamarindo beach at high tide, and here it is at low tide. You can see how much wider and how gently sloping the beach is.

This photo was taken in the very late afternoon. The clouds in the distance are catching the rays of the sun and the beach is starting to take on a golden hue.

For a late afternoon photo of Uluru (Ayers Rock) and other photos from the Australian Outback, check out our photos this week on Viva la Voyage.

No matter how many times I see it, the changing tides always amaze me.
