Bikini horseback rider

Yesterday I showed a photo of Tamarindo beach with a woman in a white bikini sitting out in a beach chair. Kate of Visual St. Paul and My Santa Fe Daily Photo blogs left a comment asking if I took a closer photo of the woman in the bikini. Well, here it is, except, as you can see, she got out of her chair and took a turn riding a horse on the beach.

A man who hires out his horses for horseback rides takes a horse around town and on the beach and allows people to take short rides to try out his horse. He hopes that people will then make arrangements for longer horseback rides. It is sort of like taking a car for a test drive. Horseback riding is allowed for only a short distance on the beach in order to keep the beach clean.

It was a sacrifice of being a Daily Photo blogger. but I got up from having a drink at a beach club to take some photos when I saw the woman in the white bikini get on the horse. Yes, I did get some more photos as she rode down the beach and back on the horse. I will show them some time in the future.

My thanks to Kate for her comment, and for the many insightful comments that she has left on this and other Daily Photo blogs, as well as for her own very sophisticated Daily Photo blogs.

This week we are showing aerial photos of active volcanos and other scenes on the Big Island of Hawaii on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

I'm so sorry that your blogging has led to such a sacrifice. I just can't imagine leaving a drink just to take a photo like this. My god, man, what were you drinking? Or thinking? ;-)

I'm thinking I wish I had been there. Fabulous photo!

Hi again. I also meant to respond to your comment about Ariz and immigrants. I've been reading a bit about Arizona politics (which have always been fairly screwy - I was there when Goldwater was the "thing.") But the situation has become even crazier! Is it true that they sold the state house and other government buildings to private entrepreneurs? I did notice also, that the state legislators, unworried I guess about the general affairs of state or state of affairs, voted ot erect a monument of the Ten Commandments!

Maybe they'll all be consumed by a burning bush!

This is a really nice shot. I'm not a horseback rider but this looks quite fun.

David! You WOULD have to post the photo of this lovely young and beautiful woman. A treat for the eyes!! My husband and granddaughter have gone horseback riding in México, but at age 8, Olivia looks nothing like this, altho she has good form, too! PS. Thanks for the lovely "shout out!"

Hi again, Dave...I read today that the Ariz. guv continues to play the fear card by referring to all the "beheadings" in the desert...but reporters have called every police unit that would deal with such and they report none whatsoever!

The pols you refer to are fiscal "conservatives" only in the sense they want to conserve all the money for their corporate sponsors and the wealthy among us!

Jacob,

You are correct. There have not been any beheadings in the Arizona desert. The Governor has a commission that uses tax money to try to promote tourism to Arizona, and then she goes on national TV and talks about beheadings (that have never happened), which certainly cannot be good for tourism.

This is freedom to me. The woman in this picture can do anything she likes, sit in a chair, ride a horse. How wonderful life can be!

this too will pass said...

we don't get sights like this on our local beach
