Maintaining surfing balance

Here is a photo of a guy struggling to maintain his balance while surfing. As I hinted yesterday, I am showing this to maintain my status as a gender neutral website, since I showed a photo of a surfer girl struggling to maintain her balance yesterday.

This guy is at the end of his run, having stayed on the wave all the way to the shore. I presume that it is more difficult to stay up on a wave as he wave gets smaller, similar to maintaining balance on a bicycle.

This week we are showing photos from Tanzania, featuring great wildlife shots that my wife took, on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

    I did a little surfing when a youngster living in LA...I remember it being a lot of fun, but difficult; I swallowed a lot of salt water!

    Re your comment on Ocala DP: The effect is a Photoshop "action." Very easy. If you wish I can send you the action or I have another process (simple) which isn't quite as dramatic. Just send me an email.

    growing up in san diego, i've tried surfing a few times, gave it up to just lie on the beach, something i was better at lol
