Many years ago, coffee farmers would travel for days bringing their sacks of the "golden bean" to the sea ports to sell for export.
Some ox carts are brightly painted and used for decorations for tourists. The ox cart in this photo is obviously a working ox cart. There is nothing decorative about it.

ReplyDeleteTo answer your comment on my House Of Joy post, the owner who had the bike accident was also the chef and the place closed down for a long time. When it was open, you would have to make reservations months in advance, they were always booked up.
Looks like something which I sometimes saw in India during my 5 week trip!

And yeah, that cart is not a tourist attraction!
