I mentioned yesterday how there are no traffic lights in Tamarindo. Where we sometimes need traffic direction is at the most popular surfing spots. The north end of Tamarindo beach is a place where surfers like to gather. As this photo shows, they manage to avoid running into each other, even without traffic control.Nearby Playa Langosta is a great surfing beach, and there are very few swimmers there, so people love the surfing there.

They seem to be doing okay without any traffic signals. I bet they have there own "built in" signals.
