Beach at Playa Hermosa

This is a closer view of the overview of the beach at Playa Hermosa that I showed yesterday. The beach is in a cove that is part of the larger Gulf of Papagayo. It is therefore protected from the ocean waves.

Unlike Tamarindo, a popular surfing beach, you do not see surfers in this photo. There are some places for surfing in the area, but it would require a drive or going with a guide.

This week we are showing photos of Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia, near the southern tip of Chile, on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

  1. The light indicates an overcast day, but still there are many people on the beach. Sorry to hear about the wine in the computer incident. Sounds as if the computer had a bit of a hangover from which it is slowly recovering.

  2. It looks like a lovely little beach, a good place for kids to play.

  3. It is a big beach with plenty of room for all beachgoers.

Re your comment on my blog today, I recognize the aesthetic differences between your pictured scenes and Julie's close-ups. I find all of them intersting, but somehow the styles go toward creating imaginary personalities for the bloggers I see most often.
