New hilly, curvy road

If there are condos in the hills around Costa Rican beach towns, there must be roads to reach them. Here is an example of a new hilly, curvy road to reach some of the hotel and condo deveopments in the area around Playas del Coco, Playa Hermosa and Playa Panama.

This reflects that Costa Rica has made improvements and investments in its roads in rural areas. People who own projects in areas that are waiting for the completion of paved roads are encouraged by new roads such as this, and hope that the roads will be upgraded in their areas soon.

This week we are showing photos of Iceland on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

Seeing roads like this always makes me want to see what is around the bend.

very nice to see new asphalt roads instead of the monkey trail dirt roads at times.

Nicely paved and ready for travelers!

The road seems to be built properly. Enough asphalt and pretty neat. In my country, Indonesia, the environment is similar to Costa Rica, but they don't build nice asphalt roads.

Like zakton, my reaction was that this is a pretty well made road.

Your comment on HDP today was pretty accurate. Short term politicians don't usually get statues, especially not statues in such a prominent spot. My guess is that he was the kingmaker kind of lawyer, a power behind the scenes.

It looks a lot like a road we were traveling in Washington.

The light at the top of the mountain in my post today is the 'J'. I think they must have used some kind of reflective paint.

The balloon ride you took sounded like fun and what a scenic place to do it in.
