Beach at the Four Seasons, Papagayo

This photo looks down on one of the two beaches at the Four Seasons Papagayo Resort. This beach faces the ocean, but it is in a cove so it is protected from the waves. The other beach is a short walk to the left of the scene in this photo, and it opens to a bay, so it does not have waves.

In order to reach this hotel, if you are not a registered guest you have to call at least 24 hours in advance and make an appointment. A hostess will meet you, give you a guided tour, and then it will be time to leave. Visitors are not allowed to walk around the lobby or hotel grounds.

This week we have photos of the Villa Serbelloni in Bellagio, Italy, on the shores of Lake Como on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

Lush is the word that comes to mind when I look at this photo. So much green.

They have chosen a wonderful spot for the resort. The photo is well worth enlarging and enjoying.

I laughed at your observation today about the black banker's heart. I am pretty sure Kevin's heart is anything but!

This makes me think of Burt Lancaster and Debra Kerr in "From Here to Eternity"...without the waves. An idyllic scene to be savored.

The elite have certain privileges I guess...but if one is paying for this place, they wouldn't want the great unwashed wandering about.

Re your comment about horses and the need for surgeons...I was going to say that even more we need psychiatrists in Ocala what with all the horses asses. But then I thought that wasn't very nice so I'll take it back. If I remember...

Jack,
Thank you, as always, for your comment above. Lest anyone get the wrong impression, the reference was to a banker's black heart. In your sentence the adjective black modified only the color of the heart, not the banker.
