Chairs on the porch

I suspect that these porch chairs are home made. Costa Ricans commonly have wood furniture, and it is common to see chairs on a porch, as Ticos spend more time outside than people in the USA. Rocking chairs with leather seats and backs are also common.

This week we are showing photos of the public art and classical architecture of Chicago on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

  1. If I lived in that climate, I'd be outside a good amount of time, too. Love this series about the ranch, Dave!

  2. I am enjoying your ranch stories. (I grew up on a cattle ranch in the Sierras.)

  3. They are very attractive but don't look too comfortable. For some reason HGTV has been showing people buying 2nd homes in Costa Rica. The prices are out of this world! Yikes! But it sure is beautiful!

  4. Between the natural brown of the wood and that unusual shade of green, they have produced a most appealing environment for sitting and conversing.

  6. I can see the old folks sitting there and reminiscing "I hadna farm in Costa Rica" . . . I adore the photo-the composition, the rich colors... So well done
