Coati

At dusk, it is not unusual to see a coati walking around.  They are somewhat similar to raccoons, but larger and cuter.

This week we are showing some photos of the colors and beauty of Nova Scotia's Cape Breton Island on  our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

I still remember that one of these came scratching at our door in the middle of the night one night when I was there with Julie.

Yes, they are lovely! There were so many in Tikal, Guatemala.

These guys are new to me. But we have many raccoons.

Cute, but large enough to freak you out the first few times you see one prowling in the dark we bet.
