Patterns in the sand

This is a photo of the patterns created by the receding tide in the Langosta estuary.  The estuary brings a little soil mixed with the water, so the sand has a little marbled coloration.

This week we are showing photos of the animals and people of Tanzania on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

The pattern is fascinating. It is hard to imagine that it was created just by tide effects.
