Tico houses

Some readers left favorable comments a week or so ago saying they liked seeing photos of the typical houses in the countryside.  Here is another photo of some Tico houses.

These houses share a driveway and they would make a very pleasant place for members of an extended family to live near one another.

Tomorrow I will show how people who live in areas such as this get to work in the tourist industry in Tamarindo.

This week we have photos of Bhutan, featuring Buddhist festivals, on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

  1. David, variety in photos is always appreciated. Sometimes we tend to post only those that are outstanding rather than the typical. These typical Tico homes reflect the reality of the citizens of the country.

  2. Hi, Dave. I'm back. Even though I wasn't one of those who made the comments you mention, I agree with them. It is good to see the "real life" of the area, not just the resorts.

  3. Looks like a nice place to raise a family.

  4. Even though the houses have (nice) colors, they seem to blend in well.
