I do not normally manipulate images. I do not know how to use photoshop or similar programs, although I do have iPhoto and can crop or boost the saturation at times if that enhances a photo.
Today I am making an exception. Below is the photo as it came out of my camera, with a washed out background as I was shooting into the sun on the sandy beach. I therefore decided to try to exaggerate the white out conditions by increasing the exposure and contrast and converting it to black and white.
This is the same boy that I showed the day before yesterday, as I continued to shoot photos as he rode past me.

It's fun (and instructive) to experiment with photos.

Interesting, Dave. I play with photo editing on occasion but rarely post something with editing beyond cropping, contrast-brightness-saturation adjustments. Maybe that is "never."
