Kelly is from Toronto. I don't know how a Canadian ends up owning a surf shop in Costa Rica, but we do have a lot of Canadian visitors and residents.

I've seen several HGTV shows where Canadians decide to pack it up and move to the Caribbean to set up shop selling whatever in order to beat the cold!
