And over he goes! There could be no recovery of balance from an angle like that.
I am going with the multiple shot technique. When I take photos of action sports, I usually use the "sports" setting and then pick out the image that worked best. One advantage is that the focus adjusts as the athletes move.
That's a good one - airborne!
