Coral or shell encrusted rocks

Here is another view of the coral or shell encrusted rocks on part of Langosta beach.  I don't understand why there are certain places where certain types of shells or coral congregate, but there is quite a diversity of sights on a walk on even a short stretch of the beach.

    I bet there is lots of activity under the water of that tide pool.

    I think it would be both interesting and instructive to learn more about the marine life in this area. Love the soft tones of the photo.
