Santa Rosa Church

Every Costa Rican town has a Catholic Church, of course, and this is the church in Santa Rosa.  Many of the towns have what I would call mid-20th Century architecture.

This one needs a repair to the cross on the top of the little bell tower.

Today is Sunday, so we have new photos posted on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.  This week we are showing photos of the street art of Valparaiso, Chile.

That is not a color I would expect to see on a church.

Attractive, although I agree with Sharon about the color.

It's pretty but that is not the color I would have chosen. It does kind of blend in with the greenery though.

Would not have thought 'a church' if not the cross !

Yes, this is representative of small town churches. Their architecture is so surprising to a North America with the open stonework on the sides to let the air through.

Except the poor cross, this doesn't look like a Church in my eyes...
