Wooden sculpture street vendor

It is common to see people carrying pottery and jewelry and selling it on the street and beach in Tamarindo.  This vendor is selling wooden sculptures.  These are rather large to be hauling around for sale, but the cart is up to the task.

This week we have photos featuring the cathedral and street scenes of Grenada, Nicaragua, on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

  1. They look very nice but too big for my suitcase.

  3. I think I will pass on these carvings. In a few weeks I will go to visit my daughter in South Africa and I expect that my suitcase will hold some African animal carvings on the return trip.

  5. I ve met this sir beeing in Tamarindo, he does really neat job, I bought my piece!
The good stuff about him is that he actually carve himself what he sells, not like others selling potery and jewelery, they say they do it but they only resell and worst the jewelery and some woodcraft is in fact made in china! Take care and
make sure you buy something handmade...
