The Transition from sandy beach to tide pools

Langosta beach is sandy along the shore at high tide, and then under the water are the remains of a volcanic flow or lava, now shaped like rivers of rocks.

This week we are showing some more photos from my wife's recent trip to Guatemala, featuring the market town of ChiChi and Guatemala City on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

Love to explore this "slice" of the world. You never know what you will find there. Lovely shot, Dave.

I really enjoyed exploring the tide pools on the beach near your condo.

So pretty. Might be tricky to walk barefoot on the beach in that spot though.

Lovely scene; I particularly like the contrasting textures and shapes. Would love to be there.

Such fun to explore these tide pools, and you do have to have appropriate foot wear on these sharp rocks.
