Suf's up on Langosta Beach

This is a view of a wave gathering strength before it cascades onto Langosta Beach.  For reasons I do not quite understand, surfers like waves where they can see the spray blow up before the wave breaks, as is visible upon close review of this photo.

    That is pretty strong surf by my standards, but, then again, I am a known chicken.

    That looks pretty big for Langosta. Since I don't have a particle of athletic ability I don't appreciate the finer points of surfing.
