Iguana on the beach

If you walk along the beach in a wooded area, which is most of Costa Rica, this would be a familiar site.  An iguana out for a walk.  This iguana was on Playa Langosta.  Some iguanas are rather bold about walking near people in populated areas.  Others, such as this one, are shy.  He was ready to crawl down a hole or up a tree.

That hole does seem to be his escape route. But wasn't he a cooperative fellow to let you get this crisp shot?

He's such an attractive little fellow, he shouldn't be so camera shy.

good shot. I like to see these guys on the beach. Iguanas remind me of the prehistoric age. I do not like it when they want a red flower located near me, however. I then must stomp my feet to make them go away.

This is great, I've only seen these as pets before.
