Empty surfboard

Here is an empty surfboard having a nice ride on a wave on Playa Langosta near our condo.  I considered using this photo for yesterday's Daily Photo Theme Day of "empty," but chose the empty crocodile mouth instead.

The surfer in this photo had just fallen down and was hidden in the surf in this photo.  Most surfers use a tether around their ankle to attach themselves to their surfboards, so surfboards like this do not get a long ride.

I don't surf, but I like to watch the surfers from the beach.

Yep, that is sure lots of fun. Surfin'. Not in a million years has made learned how to walk on water and surfing isn't one of them. LOL

The surfboard looks as if it's having a wonderful ride. Too bad the surfer missed it.

the surfboard makes you wonder about where the rider is and if he is tumbling under the water.

I was going to say that seeing this lone surf board is a bad sign. I'm glad you knew that the surfer was still there, just obscurred from view. I'm sure he/she got up and tried it again.

Both are dramatic photos and I would have had a hard time choosing! They're both fantastic, and not just for the theme.

This is another good "empty" shot!
I think you had to be prepared to get a shot like this.

Looks like some challenging waves! I wonder what happened to the surfer. Cool photo - regards from EAGAN daily photo

Great shot. In another second that board would be tumbling.

Looks like the board is off on it's own. Thanks for sharing!
