Saddle up to the bar

If someone wants to "saddle up to the bar," what better way than to sit on a real saddle and to look out at a forest while listening to the rushing water of a river?

This is a roadside cafe on the way from San Jose to Monteverde. It was the morning when we stopped by, so it was too early for customers to be lounging on the patio and the outdoor bar overlooking a river and forest. This struck me as a unique setting for a restaurant, but if there every was a place where a bar with saddle seats positioned to overlook a river and forest seems in place, Costa Rica would be it.

This week we are showing nighttime photos of Budapest on Viva la Voyage.

Hey, I want to try that! But, does a saddle get uncomfortable after a while??

I love this idea! Very clever.

Perfect for a quick one under the saddle! Nice idea, but I do agree with Sage Leif on the degree of comfort...

Looks like a fun place for a drink and a view.
