El Caracol Restaurant entrance

Upon arriving at the El Caracol Restaurant, this is the entryway that will greet you. I think you can tell that you are in for a fine dining experience, and an expensive tab, just by looking at the entrance.

There is significance to the shape of the entrance that also ties in with the name of the restaurant. I will explain that tomorrow.

This week we are showing photos of some of the quietly beautiful scenes of Yosemite National Park on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

  4. Sharon always get here first and says what I was going to say. I will have to speak to her about that.
Now I wonder, do they serve the caracol and if so, is it good?

  6. Well, this is a surprise. When I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was a church! The food is probably better here, though! :-)

  7. The snail? This particular view makes me thing of the entrance to an exquisite monastery.

  8. Hi Dave, thanks for your suggestion! I took a look through the gadgets and couldn't seem to find the map tool you were talking about (I clearly still have a lot to learn). Do you perhaps recall what it's called, or how to find it?

Thanks! Beautiful lighting in today's photo..
