Almost every Costa Rican village has a soccer/football field in the center of the village. This photo shows yet another example. I think you could fit most of the houses of this village within the soccer field in the middle of the village.
We have photos of the statues on the beach of Easter Island this week on our
Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

Is it often that soccer field is vacant? I've added an interior shot of the 16th century farmhouse on my blog, dave. it was surprisingly light in the house.
It kind of reminds me of England where every village has a cricket field somewhere in town.
I didn't know that corvettes were made in St.Louis for a while. Since I grew up just a 100 miles north of there, I would have had my dad get a factory tour if I had known that.
Looks like a green and healthy soccer field.
I love the lovely hill behind the soccer field.
