Village soccer

In rural Costa Rica, you will occasionally see make-shift football (American soccer) fields. This field is a pasture in which some villagers have erected a goal from sticks, and children are using it to good advantage to play football.

This week we are showing photos of the Villa Melzi in Bellagio, Italy,
on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

Resource kids, aren't they? They probably just walk out the back door and meet their buddies, the way you and I did growing up. No hovering parents. Life is simpler there.

I must agree with Jack. This seems like an ideal arrangement.

They certainly are resourceful and it looks like they are having fun! My grandson loves soccer.

Kids are very creative. Must be heaven to play without adult interference. Just like the "good ole days"...when kids were allowed to be kids.

Impromptu games are always the most fun, like when you're on a picnic and out come the cricket bats and everyone from Gran to the tots are involved somehow in the game, excellent! Have been so surprised today to learn how many people around the world do not have dishwashers, the machine type haha!
