On the left if Pablo. He is the gardener at our Langosta condo. He knows that Julie and I like to take photos, and he asked us if we would like to visit a ranch for a photo shoot. Of course we enthusiastically accepted his invitation. The rancher who opened his home and ranch to us is on the right.
Like most people, Ticos do not generally invite strangers into their homes. This rancher allowed us to go through his house, taking photos like crazy, which must have seemed rather strange and nosy to him. Of course we gave him and Pablo a nice tip. We will show more photos of our visit in the days ahead.
This week we are showing photos of the public art and classical architecture of Chicago on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

A terrific photo! How generous of these people to allow you and Julie into their private lives! You must have impressed them also with your friendliness and respect of and interest in their way of life. Looking forward to the next photos!!
such a fun visit to this ranch
This had to be very interesting.
How nice of them to let you take pictures. They look so happy. They really must enjoy ranch life!
They do look happy though! It will be interesting to see this ranch.
Friendship generally pays off. These both look like nice men who decided they could trust you!
That was nice of them. I wish people would invite me into the grand Versailles homes, lol! :-)
This is going to be a unique opportunity for your viewers to see more deeply into Costa Rican live than they usually would have. I'm ready. Your portrait today shows two fine men.
Looking forward to catching a glimpse of the ranch and life style. These guys look like they are happy with their choice.
Great smiles, great portrait!
I am delighted to follow this tour of the ranch. Your photos are fantastic and show that there's much more to Costa Rica than its gorgeous beaches.
