I like the colorful nature of many of the houses. By U.S. standards, they are modest, but they are usually well maintained, are comfortable, and quite adequate.

i always appreciate when you show us the houses and people and everyday slices of Costa Rica.
One doesn't need all the modern contrivances to live well. This looks like a tidy little structure and someone's home that is cared for quite well.

The dog doesn't seem concerned about you stopping to take a picture.
Who is to say that the people who live in this little home aren't just as happy (or more so) as the ones who live in the "castle" that you posted a while back.
I've never been there, but I get the impression that Costa Ricans are beautiful people.

I agree with Kate Dave, big is not always better or needed! So interesting to see how the locals live.
