What might he be thinking? It could be, "Will there be a good sunset?" Or maybe, "What will the surf be like tomorrow?" Nah. I think it is most likely, "Will there be any good looking girls walking this way, and where will they be heading?"

It almost looks like he's on a cell phone, but I prefer thinking of his as "the thinker."
Food for thought.
Or maybe, "Will the waves bring my mermaid to me?"
Or perhaps, "Wonder what's for supper?"
Or, "Why is that guy taking my picture?"
Or, "I'm gonna go take a nap now. Not a wave in sight!"
People say that thinking is a sense as well.

I agree with your analysis. I wish I could make myself this still but I don't do nothing well.
Well done, Dave! I guess he's a bit disappointed as to the height of the waves and he might be waiting for bigger ones. It's a common sight here too. :-)
