Patterns in the sand


The receding waves and tides leave patterns in the sand.  I took this photo along the shore of the Langosta Estuary near where it empties into the ocean.  I suspect that the estuary accounts for the streaks of color in the sand, as the water from the estuary would carry some sediment.

This week we are showing photos of the architecture of ancient Khmer temples of Cambodia on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.
