Tide pools

This photo shows the volcanic rock that is under the water at high tide and that provides a locale for tide pool exploration at low tide.  This is near San Francisco point, which divides Langosta from Tamarindo.


This week we have photos from the bottom of the Grand Canyon, including a photo of the endangered chubb fish, posted on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, these volcanic rock systems are so different from those on the North Shore of Lake Superior.

You can see lot of tiny creatures in those tide pools if you look carefully.
