I maxed the photo and the water wings are clearly a bright focus on that gloomy day. Nice!
That little splash of color catches the eye.
They certainly do catch the eye on a grey day!
p.s. yes I agree Dave, Kevin Rudd handled that situation brilliantly, I can assure you Abbott would not have.
Unusual to see a grey day in Costa Rica.

It's hard to imagine a photo of Tamarindo without any color at all.
