This is a wider view of the barbeque and seafood restaurant that I showed yesterday. Rather than a kitchen in the back, the restaurant had several barbecue grills across the parking lot next to a large pile of wood chips.
I walked by during the afternoon, but I guess during the evening they would grill the food across the parking lot and carry it back to the tables.
I have been showing some rather ordinary scenes on this walk in suburban San Jose. After tomorrow's monthly Theme Day, I will show some photos of a surprising sight that I unexpectedly came across while out randomly walking around.
This week we are showing photos from our recent trip to the Galapagos Islands on our Viva la Voyage travel photo site.

How about that, not much chance of burning down the restaurant with the kitchen out there!
Looks like a good old-fashioned tailgate party!
Interesting! There is a place around here that has the BBQ in the parking lot too.
They have plenty of grills and smokers it looks like.
For diners, I guess that the advantage is being able to see how the food is prepared.
Still the typical open-sided Costa Rican restaurant. How does the barbeque compare to the southwestern US?
